Nyrstar: Shareholder Notification

Balen, Belgium (20 November 2008) - Nyrstar NV announces that it received notification of significant shareholdings on 19 November 2008, in accordance with Belgian Law of 2 May 2007 on the disclosure of significant shareholdings in listed companies.

Ospraie Management LLC has notified Nyrstar that it has updated its shareholding of voting rights. Its consolidated holding, as of 13 November 2008 decreased from 4.19% to less than 3% of the issued share capital of Nyrstar.
