HR Coordinator

Location: Corporate Office

THE ROLE:

As a HR Coordinator, each day is different. You’ll execute Nyrstar’s HR policies for the corporate office in the Netherlands, take responsibility for HR administration, local labour conditions and ensure that the teams at our corporate office are adequately staffed in line with budgeted headcount. 
Other responsibilities include administration and co-ordination of recruited expatriates, work and residence permits and relocations to the Netherlands as and when required. HR metrics and general HR administration is part of monthly duties.

The HR Coordinator reports to the Global Head of Human Resources, but will also support Global HR team based at the Corporate Office. Working hours are 08h00 to 17h00, 40 hours per week and from the Budel office.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Recruitment, selection and onboarding using recruitment tools such as SuccessFactors Recruitment, LinkedIn and local recruitment agencies.
  • Maintain SAP employee database
  • Drafting and executing employment contracts
  • Monitor and advise Nyrstar on labour terms and conditions
  • Coordinate / monitor all leave administration which is self-service based
  • Provide support and advice to the Global HR team on local HR legislation and practice in the Netherlands
  • Maintaining contacts with external parties such as relocation agents, tax advisors etc
  • Onboarding and settling in new employees
  • Collating monthly HR reporting in Power BI
  • General HR administration relating to movements, hires and terminations

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in HR, psychology or related
  • 4 to 6 years work experience in HR-related positions

  • A strong set of communication skills and the ability to connect with different roles, cultures, and locations
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong command of Dutch and English (verbal & written)
  • Proactive and flexible individual and committed to continuously deliver to high standards
  • Able to work in an international environment and people with an array of backgrounds
  • Organized and hands-on experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office, visio, PowerBI and other smart systems, advanced knowledge of Excel a plus.
  • Working knowledge of SAP as well as Success Factors Modules
  • Well-organized, attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
  • Flexible and driven to meet deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize
  • Ultimate team player, builds strong relationships
  • Confidential and discreet
  • Fair understanding of local employment conditions and remuneration practices
  • Basic experience in employee relations is advantageous.
