Casting Department Process Leader
The main function of this position is to assist the Team Leader optimise the safe operating performance on shift in a reliable manner
•Ensure the team understands and follows policies and procedures including Plant Operations, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
•Assist Team Leader to identify skills short falls within the team.
•Ensure plant is operating according to SOP’s, plans and procedures.
•Maintain communications with key stakeholders including team leader, superintendent, plant metallurgist, plant engineer and other process leaders including in other departments to optimise shift production
•Ensure equipment faults that are identified are actioned appropriately.
Basic requirements the successful applicant will need to fill the position are:
•Sound knowledge of the Casting process.
•Demonstrated high level of safety behaviour
•Understands all jobs performed by the crew thoroughly and can perform these wherever appropriate and necessary.
•A high degree of competence in communication, facilitation, change management and influencing skills
•A pro-active approach to quality and continuous improvement.
