Guido Janssen appointed CEO of NyrstarWednesday January 31, 2024
Budel-Dorplein, 31 January 2024 - Guido Janssen - currently Nyrstar's Co-CEO with operational responsibility for Nyrstar's European and US operations - has been appointed Global CEO of the Nyrstar Group effective Friday 2 February 2024.
Dale Webb has resigned from Nyrstar for personal reasons after three and a half years in senior executive positions with the company, most recently as Global Co-CEO. Dale joined Nyrstar in June 2020 in the role of Vice President Australian Operations and has been Co-CEO with Guido Janssen since December 2022. As part of this transition, Dale will continue to support Guido and the Nyrstar teams until the end of March.
From Friday 2 February 2024, Guido will be responsible for the company's global operations in Europe, Australia and the US. Australian operational and functional leaders will report to the Nyrstar Group CEO, while a review of reporting structures is completed.
"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Guido Janssen as Nyrstar CEO. Guido's many years of experience leading Nyrstar's operations in Europe and the US, together with his more recent role as Co-CEO, mean he is well placed to continue to drive Nyrstar's success in the future," said Jeremy Weir, Executive Chairman and CEO of Trafigura. "I also want to thank Dale Webb for his significant contribution to Nyrstar and to wish him all the very best in his future endeavours".
