Following our high ethical standards and our intent to always act compliant and with integrity, Nyrstar has a set of core company policies and issued several policy statements.

In 2020, Nyrstar signed up to the International Responsible Business Conduct (IRBC) Agreement for the Metals Sector (‘Metaalconvenant’). This is an initiative sponsored by the Dutch Social Economic Council (the ‘Sociaal Economische Raad’/ ‘SER’). The agreement focuses on the long-term social and environmental effects of sourcing raw materials and services in the metals sector and is aimed at constantly improving visibility throughout the entire supply chain. By signing this agreement, which covers all metals and the entire international metals supply chains, Nyrstar will also actively contribute to the objective of sharing knowledge and experience with other companies in the metal industry.
