Nyrstar Høyanger

Thursday September 03, 2020

Budel, September 3rd, 2020 – Following an in-depth review and financial analysis,
Nyrstar has announced its intention to move its Høyanger site in the south-west of
Norway to operate on a Care and Maintenance basis. The site currently recycles byproducts of the primary zinc industry.

The jobs of around 36 members of Nyrstar staff working at the Høyanger site are likely to
be affected by this decision. A consultation process is underway with employees in
cooperation with local labour unions.

The company is deeply grateful for the level of commitment and dedication its
employees have shown and for their valued contribution to the operations in Høyanger
